Braucherei
About The Red Church
The Red Church, published by Pendraig Publishing in 2009, was a labor of love that required nearly four years of preparation, training, and information gathering. It is not a perfect book. God knows, for greater completeness and extra 200 pages could have been added to its already weighty 548 pages.

The Red Church is my attempt to convey the tradition of braucherei as it was taught to me, not only by my formal teacher, but also by numerous others who have blessed my path with traditional data. This book was, indeed, a labor of love.

It is my personal philosophy that what we might call “The Time of Secrets” is dead. Jesus told us that we cannot hide our light under a bushel. It is my firm belief that true and faithful practice of this traditional Germanic Christian folk healing modality of braucherei (powwow) can be open to all who care to apply it in the aide of humanity and animal-kind. It is truly a healing path of Christian compassion and mercy.
